Open the file Adobe History.indd existing in the sample files.

Adobe InDesign work area work area similar to Adobe Photoshop. On the left there is ToolBox, right there Workspace window (palette) that can be displayed or hidden.
In the center lies Document window containing the document being created. This section looks at the rule, Magnify, page. On the document page itself is visible part of which come printed, and what is not printed

Practice Chapter I

  • Creating a new document

Use File -> New -> Document. Click the More Options button to bring up the additional settings. To hide the additional settings, click the Fewer Options button.

Presets can be created through the New Document window.

  • Enabling Bleed and Slug

Bleed is the part that is not printed, while the slug is part of the comment or other records.

  • Creating Frame

All objects such as images, text, and other objects should be placed in a frame in the form of rectangle, Ellipse, or Polygon. Press Shift to create a form of proportional.

Margins and columns can be changed via the menu layout -> Margins and Columns.

  • Exporting Files

Adobe InDesign documents can be exported to another type through the File menu -> Export.

  • Print a document (print)

To print a document, use File menu -> Print.
